An article featured in the newspaper on Friday, February 16, 1951 discussing the 33rd Anniversary of the Lyric Theatre under the Fittons. The Lyric Theatre is located next to the Harrison Daily Times office on the square in Harrison, Arkansas.
This picture was taken about where E. Prospect crosses Hwy 65-62 which is just north of where the future R.R. Station was built. The man standing to the left was Dr. B.J. Vance. The lady to the right with the long skirt was his daughter Virgie May.
Harrison First Baptist Church in the process of being built (originally on Vine Street which is now Main Street in Harrison, Arkansas – where the Durand Center of North Arkansas College is located Now. The current church is now located on Pine Street.)
